Copenhagen Fire Brigade – Fire Engine Unit Tomsgaarden
Incendium have just received an order to supply Copenhagen Fire Brigade’s Engine Unit Tomsgaarden with streaming capacity. The equipment will exist of three cameras mounted on the fire truck and will be streaming live audio and video from the despatch and from the incident. The cameras can be remote controlled from the Emergency Operations room and will as well as from smartphones and tablets within the Fire Brigades selected staff.
Tomsgaardens Engine Company is staffed with 1 Unit Commander and 5 firefighters who are cross trained as firefighters and EMTs. When responding to a fire, the primary purpose of an engine is to locate and extinguish the fire.
Tomsgaarden Fire Station is currently the largest, in terms of area and population, of the seven districts in Copenhagen. The area covers Copenhagen NV, including Emdrup, Husum, Bellahoj and Tingbjerg. The area bounded by Herlev in west, Mørkhøj to the north-west, Gladsaxe to the north, the outer Nørrebro and Frederiksberg to the east and Rødovre and Vanloese the south.
